Welcome to the debut edition of Normal Words. Today we launch with a short story by Ira Brooker and two pieces by Chicago-area poet Kathryn Dennett.
Unlike so many other journals out there, we have no intention or claim of redefining genres or systematically murdering mainstream tastes or anything else because to be quite honest that sounds like nothing less than a boring war that can’t be won.
Rather, all we aim to do is publish good work and leave you, reader, feeling a little better off for having stopped by.
Submissions are always open and we thank you for reading.
